Release time: 2021-03-19

In our daily life, the most common papers we use are copy paper, letterpress paper, newsprint, offset printing paper, coated paper, and photo paper. It has become a common type of paper in our work printing.

Copier paper is a special paper for copying and has a wide range of applications, but it can only be used in copiers, dot matrix printers, laser printers, inkjet printers, etc. that do not require high printing effects. The most widely used in dot matrix printers and laser printers.

Letterpress paper is a commonly used paper when using letterpress to print books, magazines and periodicals. Mainly used in important works, scientific and technological books, academic journals, student textbooks and other text papers. Letterpress paper can be divided into four grades of No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 according to the difference in the composition of paper materials. The number of the paper symbolizes the quality level of the paper. The higher the number, the worse the quality of the paper.

Letterpress printing paper is mainly used for letterpress printing. The function of this paper is similar to, but not identical to, newsprint. Because the preparation of pulp material and the beating of pulp are better than newsprint, the fiber structure of letterpress paper is more uniform, and at the same time, the gaps between fibers are filled with necessary fillers and sizing materials, and they are also bleached. It is formed that this kind of paper has a very good adaptability to printing. Slightly different from newsprint, its ink absorption is far inferior to that of newsprint, but it has the characteristics of even ink absorption; water resistance and paper whiteness are better than newsprint. Letterpress paper has the functions of uniform texture, lint-free, slightly ductile, opaque, slightly water-resistant and has certain mechanical strength.

Newsprint, also known as white newspaper, is an important paper for newspapers, magazines and books; it is mainly used in newspapers, periodicals, textbooks, comic strips and other text papers. The characteristics of newsprint are: the paper is light and has very good ductility; the ink absorption function is good, which ensures that the printing ink can be fixed on the paper surface; the paper is smooth on both sides after calendering The double-sided imprints are relatively clear and full; have certain mechanical strength; good opacity; suitable for high-speed rotary printing. This kind of paper is produced from mechanical wood pulp (or other chemical pulp), which contains a lot of lignocellulose and other residues, and is not suitable for long-term storage. If the storage time is too long, the paper will become yellow and brittle, with poor water resistance, and it is not suitable for writing. Be sure to use newspaper printing ink or book printing ink, the viscosity of the printing ink should not be too high, and the moisture content of the layout must be strictly controlled during lithographic printing.

Offset paper is mainly used for lithographic (offset) printing equipment or other printing equipment to print higher-level color prints, such as color pictorial, publicity albums, publicity posters, color printing trademark logos, and some high-end book covers, illustration pictures, etc. Offset paper is divided into three types: special, No. 1 and No. 2 according to the preparation of the pulp material. There are single-sided and double-sided points, and there are two levels of super calendering and ordinary calendering. Offset paper has low elasticity, uniform absorption of printing ink, good smoothness, tight and opaque texture, good whiteness and strong water resistance. Conjunctival offset printing inks and printing inks of very good quality should be used. The viscosity of the printing ink is not suitable for too high, otherwise there will be problems of powder removal and hair pulling. It is also necessary to prevent the reverse side from being dirty, usually using anti-smudge agent, dusting powder or interlining paper.

Coated paper, also known as coated paper, is made by smearing a layer of white slurry on the base paper and calendering. The surface of the paper is smooth, the whiteness is high, the paper fibers are well-distributed, the thickness is the same, the elasticity is small, it has very good ductility, strong water resistance and tensile properties, and the absorptivity and receiving state of printing ink are very good. . Coated paper is mainly used for printing promotional albums, covers, postcards, exquisite product samples and their color trademark logos. When printing on coated paper, the pressure is not suitable for too large, and the offset resin printing ink and its bright printing ink should be selected. To prevent the back from sticking dirty, measures such as adding anti-dirty agent and dusting can be taken. There are two types of coated paper: single-sided and double-sided.

Photo paper refers to a type of paper used to print photos. It not only has a certain thickness and hardness standard, but also maintains a bright color for a long time. Technically, photo paper is based on regular paper with a unique coating, which makes the paper appear brighter, and can quickly absorb the ink with very small particles, so that it can be cured, and the color of the photo can be maintained for a long time. In addition, the paper texture is relatively hard, and high-pixel printing can also reasonably prevent ink penetration. The types of photo paper are: glossy photo paper, matte photo paper, sub-gloss photo paper, professional photo paper, matte photo paper, self-adhesive photo paper, etc. High-gloss photo paper is commonly used in daily life, and self-adhesive photo paper is used in photo stickers.

In a broad sense, the recycled paper is recycled and disposed of, and made into renewable paper pulp, which can replace the paper produced by the original wood pulp, which can be called recycled paper. For example, industrial paper uses waste kraft carton as an important raw material for production, and usually the bottom layer of cardboard gray uses mixed waste paper as an important raw material for production. These papers can be called industrial recycled paper. The cultural paper usually used for writing and printing is mostly made of bleached chemical raw wood pulp as raw materials, and this kind of paper can also be produced from waste paper raw materials, and the cultural paper made is called recycled paper .
