Coated kraft board not only has the strength of kraft box board (such as stiffness, bursting strength, ring compressive strength and environmental protection), but also has the surface properties of coated white board and coated white board (such as excellent printing Adaptability and post-press processing adaptability to reproductive age, so light-coated white-faced kraft cardboard will face a broad market space in this market segment, and it can also replace some gray-backed coated white cardboard. In the future, it will be mainly used for high-end consumer goods packaging cartons surface layer.

Coated kraft cardboard can realize direct printing of base paper due to its low basis weight, good smoothness, gloss and flexibility, as well as being able to adapt to environmental protection printing such as ink printing, offset printing and flexographic printing and other high-speed printing methods. Kraft linerboard and whiteboard can better meet the new requirements of packaging products for paper performance, and their unit packaging cost is more than 16%a lower than that of whiteboard.

Some problems that need to be paid attention to in the printing process of kraft paper. Kraft cardboard is a relatively hard and tough product in paper, and has stronger toughness than double-coated paper, coated paper and gray-backed whiteboard paper. We can say that he is more stubborn and hard, so there are some problems to pay attention to in the printing process:

Structurally: compared with kraft paper and coated paper, coated paper is double-coated, and its surface is relatively smooth, including the surface of gray-backed whiteboard paper, which is also very smooth. will be very good. Kraft cardboard is a long fiber structure or a regenerated fiber structure, which makes its surface effect less smooth than the surface of coated paper, gray-backed whiteboard paper and white cardboard. Therefore, our requirements for the surface printing of kraft cardboard cannot be compared with that of coated paper, white cardboard and gray-backed whiteboard paper, and its standard is lower.

If we really want to achieve a good printing effect, we might as well treat the surface of the ox cardboard: if the ink level of the printed part is very large, it is difficult to deal with it, but in general, a large area of ink level printing will not be carried out, so It will lose the personality of the kraft paper. Therefore, before the cardboard printing, we can perform a front-end processing, and we can perform a processing of printing transparent oil where the pattern and text are to be printed. The purpose of printing the transparent oil is to fill the uneven areas of the paper, so that the surface of the paper is flat , the printing effect will be much better when printing text on it.

In addition to the printing effect, another problem is that the kraft cardboard has good stiffness, that is, it is very hard, and some of the paper that has just been cut is not very flat. The printing press will not break the printing press. This also requires some front-end processing: we have some high-weight kraft cardboard in our kraft card. It is recommended to treat the kraft paper and kraft card with some humidity before printing to make it soften appropriately and meet the printing requirements. There will be no inaccurate sets and damage to the printing press.
